Update

Hey Ducks

We're currently having a short break as it's Easter, Royal Weddings and May Day but we are back as normal on Sunday 8th May 2011.

In the meantime, Derby Ducks Jog has started. DDJ is a very, informal, back to basics jogging group for women. It's not just for the hockey group but for anyone who fancies jogging with a bit of good company and support. The aim is to increase fitness and the distance of the jog over a number of weeks.

Still Here :)

Hiya

We are still here and playing but I'm updating facebook a lot more than my blog these days. I will keep popping onto this every so often as we always want new members to find us and not think we've packed our bags and retired, lol.

Tomorrow night is with Karen again and we are working on game play ready for our friendly with Woodlands. Try and make it if you can, should be good :)

Cancelled!!

Hi All

Hockey is cancelled this week as (just incease you've missed it) we are up to our necks in snow. Fun at first but now not so much...

Hopefully we'll be back next week as normal and then that will be the last one before our Christmas meal. Fingers crossed for sunshine :)

Bits and Pieces

Hi Ducks

Slight delay in posting again, I seem to have caught the facebook bug and I'm updating the Ducks facebook page instead of the blog. But I'm back now :)

Last night was our coached session again and we practised dribbling and getting past defenders. We started off well and then in the game the phrase "you've all gone to pot" was used, lol. We managed to improve before finishing tho :)

We have a few things in the pipeline - friendly game with Woodlands, Christmas Dinner and a weekend away at Lea Green. Check out facebook for more info or drop me a line.

Last Night

Last night was our coached session with Karen, who worked on our hitting technique, and Jane who worked with Rachel on goalkeeping skills. It was another good night with everyone really improving their skills :)

Ducks v Asterdale

Great game last night (even though we lost 1-4) Took us a while to settle down and we were down 3-0 at half time.
Second half was better with Nicola getting us on the score sheet. Everyone played really well and it was an enjoyable evening :)

Next week, Karen's back to coach us and whip us into shape, lol.
